Streamlined Process Under New Management
Under the directive of the appointed General Manager, Mansour Al-Muthin, PACI has initiated a streamlined procedure for issuing civil cards upon request by both Kuwaiti nationals and expatriates. The authority has restructured its operations, ensuring that civil cards are now processed within a remarkably expedited timeframe of one to three working days.
Efficient Implementation and Potential Scalability
Initially piloted on May 20 and subsequently launched officially this month, the new process has been swiftly integrated into PACI’s operations. Reports from Al Qabas indicate that PACI is currently issuing around 13,000 cards per day, with plans to potentially scale up to 20,000 cards daily.
Enforcement Measures for Timely Collection
To address the substantial backlog of approximately 200,000 ready cards within the system, PACI has emphasized the importance of prompt collection. Individuals failing to collect their cards in a timely manner may face fines, as PACI endeavors to streamline its operations and enhance efficiency.
